Overview An established and growing WA-based mining and civil contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across a diverse portfolio of projects and business streams. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and enjoys partnering closely with leadership teams, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to drive strong commercial outcomes. The role will play a critical part in supporting business growth, improving commercial governance, mitigating risk, and ensuring profitable project delivery across civil construction, earthworks, infrastructure maintenance, labour hire, and plant/equipment operations. About the Role Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Commercial Manager will oversee all aspects of commercial management across the business, including: Contract negotiation, review, and administration Tendering, pricing, and commercial risk assessments Claims, variations, EOTs, and dispute management Procurement and subcontractor negotiations Commercial governance and reporting Risk management and compliance Client and stakeholder engagement Quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities Lead commercial management across all projects and business streams Review, negotiate, and administer contracts and subcontract agreements Manage commercial risks, claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes Oversee tender submissions, pricing reviews, and procurement strategies Support project start-up activities and commercial governance frameworks Provide commercial guidance to project managers and operational leaders Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, and margin delivery Maintain commercial reporting systems, risk registers, and compliance frameworks Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Drive continuous improvement across commercial systems and processes About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven commercial management experience within mining, civil construction, earthworks, infrastructure, or heavy industry sectors Strong contract negotiation and administration capability Experience managing variations, EOTs, claims, and commercial disputes Advanced financial, analytical, and commercial acumen Strong understanding of project delivery and operational environments Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience supporting tenders, procurement, and commercial risk reviews High attention to detail with strong organisational capability Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law, or a related discipline Why Apply?
