About the Business & the Role SLR Consulting is a rapidly growing professional services consultancy with a strong reputation for technical excellence. We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with 7+ years’ experience to join our team in South East Queensland. Responsibilities Lead structural design and analysis across a variety of projects. Prepare, review and approve structural calculations, reports, and design documentation. Manage and coordinate project deliverables with multidisciplinary teams. Provide technical guidance, mentoring and oversight to junior engineers and drafters. Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling and delivery to meet client and commercial expectations. Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat work and long‑term partnerships. Challenge existing approaches with a focus on innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement. Qualifications 7+ years’ experience in civil engineering and a tertiary qualification in civil engineering. RPEQ (Structural) accreditation. Demonstrated experience delivering structural design projects across infrastructure, industrial, mining, renewables or built‑environment sectors. Strong technical capability in structural analysis and design with in‑depth knowledge of relevant Australian Standards. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, ETABS, INDUCTA SLB or similar). Experience in structural site inspections and construction phase services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and providing technical support during construction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build client and stakeholder relationships. Well‑developed creative, lateral thinking and problem‑solving skills.
