About the Role GHD is seeking an in‑house lawyer to cover a 12‑month parental leave position within its APAC Legal team. The successful applicant will support internal, multi‑disciplinary clients in a dynamic and encouraging work environment. Responsibilities Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts, including consultancy contracts for design‑and‑construct, design‑only, alliancing and pure consultancy services for major infrastructure projects. Provide advice on general legal issues that arise in day‑to‑day operations at a global consulting firm, covering contract law, commercial disputes, litigation management, legislative compliance, internal policies and corporate governance matters. Qualifications Post‑qualification experience (PQE) with some exposure to an in‑house legal position. Strong commercial contracting skills, ideally with experience with infrastructure and defence clients/projects. Experience in varied procurement formats and drafting of complex project contracts. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative team mindset. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Experience working with geographically dispersed teams on complex engineering and/or design projects. Location & Contract The role is a 12‑month parental leave position in either the Melbourne or Adelaide office, with potential to become permanent.
