We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Biosecurity Advisor to support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project. This role is pivotal in coordinating and implementing environmental approval conditions, Environmental Performance Requirements (EPRs), and the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and associated sub‑plans throughout planning, construction and completion phases. Working closely with construction and project teams, you will provide hands‑on environmental management, monitoring compliance, supporting audits, engaging with stakeholders, and driving strong environmental outcomes on site. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and implement environmental approval conditions and compliance obligations across the project Manage and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and related documentation Conduct regular environmental inspections, monitoring, and internal audits Oversee environmental monitoring programs (noise, vibration, air, water, contamination, ecology) Coordinate and manage environmental consultants and specialist contractors Investigate environmental incidents and community complaints and lead corrective actions Prepare environmental reports for clients, regulators and parent company requirements Deliver environmental training, site inductions and toolbox talks. Support sustainability initiatives and data collection Required Skills and Competencies Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline Minimum 4 years’ experience in environmental management within the construction industry Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals and compliance processes Experience with audits, monitoring programs and regulatory reporting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills, initiative and attention to detail Location and conditions This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
