About our opportunity Commencing in February 2027, our Graduate Research Agronomy stream will focus on Plant Nutrition & Innovation and will provide you with the skills and training to become a future technical expert in agronomy, with a strong focus on research, development and product extension (rather than a traditional agronomy advisory pathway). You will work closely with the Loveland team, Farm Services and Network Agronomists to support research and extension priorities, helping to generate, analyse and communicate technical data that supports evidence‑based agronomic recommendations and product innovation. Our 24‑month program will see you join a cohort of other ambitious graduates and will involve four leadership and skill‑building workshops, on‑the‑ground training, and three mentors assigned to you to provide ongoing support. The Graduate Program is based on a robust learning model and will see you adding value as a full‑time, ongoing employee from day one; doing real work and delivering real results. What our Program offers Accelerated learning opportunities to kick‑start your career in agriculture Professional networking opportunities: you will be exposed to four skill‑building workshops across the two‑year program and opportunities to socialise and travel interstate. Professional development opportunities to grow your business, communication, problem‑solving and data‑analysis skills Support from business and industry leaders: you will be assigned mentors and buddies from the business. Placement mobility once the 24‑month program concludes; you may be required to move locations to maximise your experience. What you’ll need to be successful Graduated prior to the commencement of the 2027 program, or no longer than 3 years ago, with a minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, Ag Science or a relevant field. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, a proactive approach, strong communication skills and a passion for agriculture. Ability to demonstrate customer service, problem solving and leadership capabilities. Because this is a permanent position with Nutrien, candidates must have permanent ongoing working rights within Australia.
