What You’ll Do Deliver accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting for Optiver’s Australia and Technology legal entities, with clear business context. Manage AASB/IFRS technical accounting matters, including share‑based payments. Oversee regional variable compensation accounting. Lead external and internal audits. Partner with the Tax team on tax accounting matters such as transfer pricing, income tax, GST, and FBT. Manage non‑trading treasury activities including cash, capital, dividends, and FX. Lead and develop a team of four, focusing on performance, coaching, and development planning. Support and drive finance transformation initiatives at both regional and global levels. Identify and implement process, control, and system improvements. Strengthen the Finance control framework to ensure risks are identified and managed. Support Group Finance on reporting, policies, and technical papers. Who You Are With 15+ years of professional experience, you have a proven track record of succeeding in fast‑paced environments, managing teams, and driving change programs. You analyze financial information to provide management insights and solutions, exhibit a strong detail orientation, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You bring a problem‑solving, controls‑based mindset and a constant focus on continuous improvement. Essential Criteria Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business. CA/CPA or international equivalent. 15+ years’ experience in a financial control or equivalent role. Experience in a markets business (Product Control experience preferred). Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred). Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
