Cardiac Services provides a range of services targeted at diagnosis, intervention and treatment of patients affected by cardiovascular disease, consisting of inpatient and outpatient services. Key responsibilities Work collaboratively to achieve high quality patient care outcomes with regard to cardiac intervention and the electrophysiology service. Contribute to the development of future cardiac nurses through supporting the Post Graduate Diploma pathway in Cardiac Nursing in partnership with La Trobe University. Work towards a Clinical Nurse Specialist position. Participate in the management of the deteriorating patient in conjunction with the Critical Care Outreach Team. Coordinate care within the Western Health CCL (Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory) service distributed across Footscray and Sunshine campuses to meet fluctuating patient demand, especially during high‑priority STEMI cases. Promote positive workplace culture and participate in quality improvement projects within Western Health. About you Hold a current AHPRA registration. Have recent acute Cardiac Cath lab experience. Have completed a postgraduate qualification in critical care/cardiac nursing – preferred. Be accountable and demonstrate a strong emphasis on providing safe clinical care. Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care Unit The Footscray CCU seeks Registered Nurses with postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Nursing (or equivalent) who can demonstrate outstanding clinical skills and a strong drive for continuous professional development throughout their career. Key responsibilities Ensure high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health policies and procedures. Provide exceptional care to patients with acute cardiac conditions. About you Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification with RN Registration through NMBA. Successful completion of a Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac or Critical Care Nursing. Demonstrated cardiac nursing experience in an acute setting. Competent in Advanced Life Support (ALS) to facilitate care and transport of monitored patients.
