This is a senior commercial seat sitting directly alongside the CCO, with real exposure to the founders. You'll work on M&A, capital raise support, investor conversations and the partnerships that shape Updoc's next phase of growth across Australia and the UK. The scope is unusually broad for the title: one week you're stress-testing a model for an acquisition target, the next you're sitting opposite a multinational commercial team negotiating distribution terms. If you're a strong analyst or associate who's ready to operate two levels up, this is the role. About Updoc Updoc is Australia's leading virtual healthcare platform, delivering 24/7 access to AHPRA-registered doctors. We're scaling across Australia and the UK and we're building the commercial infrastructure to match the ambition. The team has backgrounds at Apple, Amazon, Canva, and Uber. We're scrappy, curious, and unapologetically ambitious. No egos, just smart people working hard to fix healthcare. What you'll do Support the CCO across commercial partnerships, new business opportunities, M&A activity, and capital raise processes in AU and internationally Identify, develop, and close new partnerships that drive revenue, reduce cost or create strategic leverage Build and stress-test commercial and financial models for new revenue streams, partnerships, M&A targets, and investment scenarios. Owning existing partnerships end-to-end: commercial reviews, performance tracking, renegotiations, expansions Run market mapping and competitive intelligence to surface white-space opportunities ahead of the curve Represent Updoc with partners, investors, and other senior stakeholders with credibility and commercial sharpness Work side-by-side with founders, finance, marketing, and product to land commercial initiatives that actually move the business What we're looking for 5–8 years in corporate development, investment banking, transaction services, strategy consulting, or a commercial role at a high-growth tech or health-tech company You've worked on at least one M&A or capital raise process: sell-side, buy-side, or as the principal. You know what a data room looks like and you've built or torn apart a model under deadline You can build a three-statement model from scratch, defend every assumption, and stress-test someone else's model in an hour. We test for this and are looking for someone who knows modelling is one of their genuine strengths You're commercially sharp and customer-facing without being a salesperson. You can hold your own opposite a CFO and a founder in the same week You earn trust quickly with senior stakeholders, both internal and external You'd rather close one deal that changes the trajectory of the business than ten deals that pad a pipeline A note on fit This role doesn't come with a playbook, a team to manage, or a defined patch. You'll be given priorities and outcomes, not processes. We provide you with the platform for you to do your best work, be ambitious and have a team and company culture to support you through the journey. Scope : M&A, capital raise, partnerships, and international expansion, all from day one. Most roles offer one of these. This offers all four. Proximity : direct line to the CCO and founders. You'll be in the rooms where the decisions get made. Equity : meaningful upside in a business growing quickly and a sector that's only getting larger. Proof : AFR's Best Place to Work, a team poached from Apple, Amazon, Canva, and Uber, and a culture where psychological safety isn't a slide in a deck.
