About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Cancer Nurse Consultant to lead expert, patient‑centred oncology care across the care journey. The clinical role involves providing individualized, evidence‑based care throughout the cancer journey, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support both clinical and psychosocial needs. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive assessments and develop tailored care management plans for patients with complex needs. Act as a central point of contact for patients, families, staff, and external health services. Provide expert education and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Lead and contribute to nursing education, best‑practice reviews and innovation. Support the implementation and evaluation of new treatments, technologies and care models. Initiate and apply research findings to improve clinical practice. Lead or contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications We are looking for a highly experienced oncology nurse who brings credibility, compassion and confidence to clinical leadership. Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA. Minimum 5 years’ experience in oncology nursing. Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in Oncology Nursing, Advanced Nursing or similar. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proven ability to coordinate care across the cancer care journey. Strong experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
