Your Team As a trusted risk advisor within the Distribution business unit, this role ensures strong operational risk and compliance frameworks are embedded to safeguard customer interests and maintain organisational trust. By designing and implementing effective controls, managing regulatory obligations, and proactively mitigating risks, the role supports sustainable business growth and contributes to a seamless customer experience. Working closely with key stakeholders across risk, compliance, and legal functions, the team underpins strategic priorities such as transforming customer experience, enabling growth through partners, and delivering leading advice and retirement solutions. The role reports to Director, Risk & Control Advisory and Delivery. Your Responsibilities Ensure the Distribution business unit complies with the CFS Group Risk Management Framework, related policies, and regulatory obligations. Manage risk matters, including data leakage events and privacy alerts, in line with established policies. Develop, enhance, and monitor controls, ensuring timely completion of control tests and assessments. Conduct risk assessments for business initiatives, regulatory changes, and projects, and support governance activities such as attestations and supplier onboarding. Facilitate risk training and workshops with engaging content to build awareness and capability across the business. Your Capability and Experience Skilled in identifying and analyzing risks, controls, and opportunities, with the ability to recommend effective actions. Strong consulting and influencing capability, building collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication, combined with critical and analytical thinking to solve problems using data-driven insights. Experienced in preparing and facilitating risk workshops that achieve clear and practical outcomes. Knowledge of operational and compliance risk frameworks, with a solid understanding of governance principles and best practices.
