Job Description What You will do: Own the end-to-end commercial performance of a category portfolio, including sales, margin, and inventory outcomes Translate business strategy into 1–3 year category plans and annual financial targets Lead pricing, range, and promotional strategies to maximise growth and profitability Drive P&L performance, balancing margin, availability, and inventory risk Lead cross-functional execution across Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, and Operations Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including negotiation of terms and funding Lead, coach, and develop a team of Category Managers, building capability and succession Embed commercial discipline, governance, and consistent ways of working across the team Qualifications Proven experience in merchandise or category leadership with ownership of a portfolio or business unit Strong commercial acumen, with deep experience managing P&L, pricing, margin, and inventory Ability to translate strategy into execution and consistently deliver against financial targets Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams Strong cross-functional leadership capability across Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations Data-driven mindset with the ability to use insights to drive decisions and performance Experience in retail, wholesale, or complex multi-category environments (automotive advantageous) Benefits Diverse career opportunities within the Bapcor Group Discounts across Bapcor products and services, including our Retail and Trade brands Industry leading policies to support your work/life balance (gender neutral parental leave, purchase leave, volunteer leave, etc ...)
