Overview Take on the role of Assistant Store Manager at Petstock and support the Store Manager in leading a passionate team to deliver world‑class customer service. You will be a key contributor to the success of the Petstock Group. Responsibilities Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring your team daily. Support the Store Manager in coaching the team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills. Lead from the front by consistently providing an exceptional customer experience. Create a strong safety mindset, fostering a culture of safety within your team. Ensure stock accuracy and that the team follows stock integrity processes. Assist in managing visual merchandising of stock displays, maintaining VM standards. Recruit, onboard and induct high‑calibre new team members. Develop a fun, supportive in‑store culture where your team loves coming to work. Proactively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships. Qualifications Experience in a similar store leadership role. Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets. Strong leadership ability, motivating and building high‑performing teams while fostering a positive culture. Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Experience in driving safe work, health & safety practices. Established business acumen. Flexibility and adaptability to a changing work environment. Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships and rapport with customers and the wider team.
