As a Software Engineer in Melbourne you will design and build high‑quality, data‑driven features that enable teachers and students to achieve impactful outcomes. Responsibilities Lead the architecture and implementation of critical platform features, such as turning student results into actionable insights for teachers. Build interactive science simulations that help students explore and understand key concepts. Convert proven teaching practices into the digital platform to improve classroom effectiveness. Manage tooling for school lab equipment inventory, ensuring schools receive the necessary resources on time. Present data‑driven insights on student performance and teaching strategies to senior government and school leaders. Qualifications Experience delivering user‑focused software across the stack – web, mobile, games or visualizations. Strong front‑end skills with React and TypeScript; familiarity with Rust, Ruby (Sorbet), Terraform, AWS, and Buildkite is a plus. Deep understanding of performance, accessibility and usability best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
