Mens Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation – Broome WA Co-ordinate and co-facilitate the delivery of Men's Behaviour Change workshops for First Nations men who have used family & domestic violence, in specified locations across the Kimberley Fixed-term to 30 June 2027 (with possibility of extension) About us Men’s OutreachService Aboriginal Corporation (MOSAC) was established in 2001 and delivers a range of programs including youth life promotion and suicide prevention, Indigenous men’s behaviour change (family and domestic violence), men’s health and wellbeing, drop‑in services, and programs supporting young men to re‑engage with education and community. About the role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) practitioner to coordinate and co-facilitate workshops adapted from our popular men's behaviour change program, Change Em Ways. This position plays a key leadership role in supporting culturally safe, trauma-informed practice and strong program delivery within a Kimberley Indigenous context. The role is based in Broome, with regular overnight travel to three specified locations within the Kimberley region. Key responsibilities Support the leadership and co-facilitation of Change Em Ways Communities Conduct intake and risk assessments in line with program requirements and provide guidance and support to team members completing assessments and facilitating workshops Lead good practice and case management within the team and engage in ongoing professional development, including regular supervision with the Team Leader Work closely with the Change Em Ways Communities team and the MOSAC Cultural Reference Group to ensure cultural protocols are followed and practice remains culturally secure Facilitate regular team debriefs and reflective practice sessions at the end of workshop days, under the guidance of the Team Leader Collect data to support program evaluation, including feedback from participants, partners, families, community members and young people Contribute to the development and review of program policies, procedures and continuous service improvement About you A Diploma in Community Services or a relevant qualification Extensive experience working in Family and Domestic Violence Experience facilitating group programs Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal people Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management, planning and organisational skills A willingness and ability to commit to regular overnight travel, in line with workshop schedules Selection criteria Applicants will be assessed on the following: Experience delivering programs and services within a human services setting, particularly in family and domestic violence Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal society and culture and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice Experience and training in Indigenous family domestic violence interventions within a culturally safe, strengths-based and trauma-informed framework that promotes safety, accountability, responsibility and respect Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and participate in reflective practice Experience liaising with stakeholders to improve service delivery and outcomes Ability to use, or willingness to undertake training in, MS Word, Excel and Outlook Other Requirements Current WA “C” Class driver’s licence (no restrictions) Availability for overnight travel What we offer 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading Generous not-for-profit salary packaging, including remote housing benefits Anniversary payment after 12 months of employment Additional Paid leave over the Christmas period 2 days of Paid Wellbeing Leave Above-award Paid Compassionate Leave Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and study opportunities Interested?
