Silverstone is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Leading Hand to support our Lithium Mining client. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position on a well‑established lithium operation, working across both crushing and process plant environments. Responsibilities Strong fixed‑plant mechanical knowledge across crushing circuits and/or wet processing (e.g., conveyors, pumps, screens, crushers, cyclones, flotation cells). Ability to lead a small multidisciplinary team safely and effectively. Competent in fault‑finding, breakdown management and coordinating planned maintenance activities. Familiarity with isolation procedures, permit systems and safe work practices. Comfortable working with work management systems (Pronto) including raising notifications, work orders and completing shift reports/handovers. Good computer literacy (scopes of work, handover notes, basic reporting). Strong focus on safety leadership and promoting positive behaviours within the team. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support the supervisor in daily coordination of tasks. Willingness and capability to rotate between plant areas depending on operational needs. Qualifications Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate. Proven experience in mineral processing environments, including strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, cyclones, flotation cells). Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. S26 exposure, module completion and working towards certification. Strong fault‑finding and breakdown maintenance capability. Experience with work management systems (e.g., Pronto). Sound understanding of isolation procedures and permit systems. Current driver’s licence. Current national police clearance (or ability to obtain).
