About the role As a Registered Nurse working within our Cath Labs, you will be part of a collaborative team that operates across three theatres, covering Cardiac, Vascular, Electrophysiology (EP), Neurointerventional and Interventional Radiology procedures within a single integrated service. Responsibilities Provide high quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures Collaboratively work with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeons, neurointerventional specialists and interventional radiologists and wider multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective patient outcomes Respond confidently to acute and emergency situations within the Cath Lab environment Prepare, operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment in line with clinical and safety standards Support safe patient flow through admission, procedural and recovery phases Provide clear pre‑ and post‑procedure education to patients and their families Participate in quality improvement activities, audits and professional development Mentor and support junior nurses and students within the clinical environment Qualifications Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Nursing or Critical Care, or ability and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute procedural environment Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred care Commitment to ongoing professional development Ability to meet on‑call requirements with appropriate response time Benefits Flexibility to work across one or multiple hospitals across our network Discounted health insurance (permanent employees) Continuous professional development, education and support to encourage growth Maxxia reward programme Salary sacrifice and novated lease options EAP services Salary & compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, aligned with the Healthscope Queensland Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021‑2025, ranging from $41.49 to $52.97 per hour plus superannuation.
