Key Responsibilities Provide continuity of care across the full maternity journey, working to your full scope of practice, within the Midwifery Continuity of Care Maternity Service at Port Macquarie Base Hospital. Deliver care to an annual caseload of 35–37 women per year. Work within the Caseload Midwifery Group Practice, under flexible work hours and part of an on‑call roster. Collaborate closely with Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal Service (MAPS) and the Continuity Base Team (CBT) to achieve whole‑service integration. Assist with professional autonomy and flexibility in both hospital and outpatient community settings. Qualifications & Experience Registered Midwife with current AHPRA authority. Full scope of midwifery practice – antenatal assessment, labour and birth support, postnatal care, lactation guidance and infant feeding, aligned with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council’s National Competency Standards for the Midwife (2018). Strong dedication to Midwifery Continuity of Care, valued relationships, trust and improved outcomes. Excellent time‑management, flexibility to adapt to unpredictable rhythm of midwifery and flexible hours within a Group Practice. Excellent organisational, communication, conflict resolution and collaboration skills with women, families and colleagues. Proficient computer literacy with documentation and digital workflow accuracy. Sound judgment regarding confidentiality and sensitivity. Prepared to use private vehicle for work‑related travel with valid licence.
