Greenfields is partnering with a globally recognised financial services organisation on a rare opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high performing APAC legal team. Supporting complex and fast paced commercial operations across the region, this role offers exposure to strategic initiatives, cross border matters and senior stakeholders within a business that values pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice. The Role Reporting into a regional legal leader, you will act as a trusted legal partner to the business, providing hands‑on support across core commercial, regulatory and corporate matters. You will take ownership of defined jurisdictions or projects while collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider legal function. This Senior Legal Counsel role will suit a senior lawyer who enjoys autonomy, variety and working at the intersection of legal risk and commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Act as legal lead on defined projects, initiatives or jurisdictions Provide commercial and regulatory legal advice across APAC Support day to day BAU operations as well as new product launches and strategic initiatives Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements across payments, digital and consumer products Partner closely with business leaders, compliance and other internal stakeholders Manage interactions with third parties, including regulators, where required Contribute to a collaborative and high performing regional legal team About You 8+ years’ PQE gained within a leading law firm or in‑house environment Strong background in financial services, payments experience advantageous but not essential Confident advising on commercial, regulatory and corporate matters in a multinational context Commercially minded, solutions focused and comfortable working independently Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders Admitted to practise in Australia or an equivalent jurisdiction Why Apply Senior, visible role within a global financial services business Hybrid working environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration Competitive remuneration, short term incentives and comprehensive benefits Clear opportunity to deepen regional experience and influence business outcomes #J-18808-Ljbffr
