About the role Join H&M Tracey Construction Pty Ltd as a full-time Commercial/ Residential Estimator based in either Wangara, WA or Broome, WA - relocation assistance available for the right person. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing reliable cost estimates for projects up to $10M. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial part in helping H&M Tracey Construction maintain its competitive edge within the industry. What you’ll be doing Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a range of commercial construction projects Coordinate estimate preparation, calculate/prepare quantities and compile proposals Liaise with suppliers and contractors to obtain competitive pricing Ability to analyse and solve complex problems within a fast paced environment. Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify all necessary materials, labour, and equipment requirements Research and evaluate supplier pricing to ensure the most cost-effective solutions Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to refine estimates and identify potential cost savings Build & maintain strong commercial relationship with clients and subcontractors. Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data to inform future estimates Provide expert guidance and support throughout the tender and bidding processes Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's estimating practices and procedures Ability to work unsupervised and confidently take on projects Tender / and bidding including review assesssing scope, risks and complexity. What we’re looking for Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Estimator, within the construction industry Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications Proficient in the use of estimating software and other relevant digital tools (Procore and Cost X experience desirable) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-effective solutionsHighly detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Exposure to a wide variety of projects including Commercial, Industrial, Design & Construct projects. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management & Economics, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or a related field. Can be based in Wangara Office or Broome office.
