The role We are looking for a Supply Chain Lead to own and scale the supply chain function at Vow. This is a hands‑on, builder role for someone who thrives on getting things moving – physically, operationally, and systemically. You'll own end‑to‑end logistics across domestic and international lanes, while shaping how we procure, store, track, and move everything from raw materials and consumables through to finished products. You’ll spend your time split between the warehouse floor and the systems behind it – coordinating inbound and outbound freight, managing relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, brokers, and suppliers, keeping inventory accurate, and designing the processes and tools that will let us scale tenfold without breaking. Cold chain, customs, and cross‑border compliance will all sit within your remit. This role is high‑impact and broad. Vow is in commercial production across multiple SKUs and markets, and we need an experienced operator to lead the supply chain function. If you’ve built or scaled a logistics operation in food, FMCG, biotech, or another physical‑product business, this is your chance to do it again – with a small team, real ownership, and products the world hasn’t seen before. The experience you will bring 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations roles, with a demonstrated track record in logistics as the core discipline. Hands‑on experience coordinating domestic and international freight, including cold chain, customs clearance, incoterms, and working with freight forwarders and 3PLs. Solid grounding in procurement – supplier sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier performance. Inventory and stock management experience, including cycle counting, stock accuracy, and reorder planning. Exposure to MRP/ERP systems (Katana, SAP, or similar) is strongly preferred. Track record of building systems and processes from the ground up – you’ve taken something messy and made it repeatable, measurable, and scalable. People leadership experience – you’ve managed direct reports and know how to develop and get the best out of a small operational team. Comfortable working hands‑on. You’re as happy on the warehouse floor solving a freight problem as you are in a spreadsheet or MRP system modelling forward demand. Fast learner with strong commercial instincts and a bias to action – you make decisions with incomplete information and iterate quickly. A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential if experience is strong. Exposure to food safety, quality, or regulated environments (HACCP, GMP, FSANZ, ISO) is beneficial, particularly for cold chain and food‑grade material handling. You will Own end‑to‑end supply chain operations at Vow, covering inbound raw materials and consumables, internal stock movements, and outbound finished product to domestic and international customers. Build and manage relationships with freight forwarders, 3PLs, customs brokers, and key suppliers – negotiating rates, service levels, and contractual terms. Lead domestic and international logistics execution, including cold chain integrity, customs documentation, export compliance, and freight cost management. Manage and develop the supply chain team, setting clear priorities and building capability as the function grows. Own procurement processes for production consumables, raw materials, and indirect spend – including supplier selection, PO management, and supplier performance reviews. Drive inventory accuracy and stock control across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, working closely with Production and Commercial to align supply with demand. Design and implement the systems, tools, and processes needed to scale the supply chain function – including MRP/ERP configuration, KPI reporting, demand planning cadence, and supplier onboarding. Partner closely with Production, Commercial, Quality, and Finance to ensure supply chain decisions support production schedules, customer commitments, food safety standards, and unit economics. Identify and execute cost‑out, lead‑time, and resilience improvements across the supply base and logistics network. Support food safety and quality compliance across inbound and outbound logistics, including supplier approval, traceability, and cold chain validation. What success looks like in this role In your first month you’ll have mapped Vow’s current supply chain end‑to‑end – suppliers, freight lanes, inventory positions, systems, and the team. You’ll have built relationships with key internal stakeholders in Production, Commercial, Finance, and Quality, and identified the most urgent operational risks and quick wins. After 3 months you’ll be running logistics and procurement operations confidently, with clear visibility over freight performance, stock accuracy, and supplier health. You’ll have introduced the first wave of process and systems improvements – tightening up procurement workflows, inventory cadence, and freight management – and the team will be working to clearer priorities. By the end of your first year you’ll have established a supply chain function that can support Vow’s commercial activities and growing demand. International lanes will be running reliably, inventory will be trusted across the business, supplier and 3PL relationships will be delivering on cost and service, and the systems backbone (MRP, reporting, demand planning) will be in place to support continued growth. The team will have grown thoughtfully in line with the business, and supply chain will be a strategic enabler rather than a bottleneck. Vow perks and benefits Everyone is an owner.
