What will I do? Examine operating costs and organisations’ income and expenditure – assess financial data to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws. Provide assurance about the accuracy of financial reports – verify that financial statements comply with statutory requirements and reflect true financial positions. Offer financial and taxation advice – advise clients on business structures, plans and operations to optimise tax outcomes. Prepare taxation returns – compile and submit tax returns for individuals and organisations, ensuring all information is accurate and timely. Liaise with financial institutions and brokers – establish and manage funds‑management arrangements to support client financial strategies. Introduce and maintain accounting systems – recommend and implement accounting systems, including computer‑based solutions, to enhance financial management. Maintain internal control systems – ensure that robust internal controls are in place to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance. Appraise cash flow and financial risk – evaluate the financial viability of capital investment projects to inform client decision‑making. Qualifications & Skills Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. Professional registration with one of Australia’s three peak accounting bodies.
