The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and daily oversight the technical integrity, quality, safety and reliability of our New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) fleet. The position includes managing a team of four direct reports, providing direct RPEQ supervision and leading technical and design reviews for NGR. Day‑to‑day responsibilities of this role will include Lead and manage the technical assurance processes for the NGR fleet, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and contractual requirements. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, and third party contractors, to ensure effective communication and resolution of technical issues. Monitor and report on the performance of the NGR fleet, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Provide expert technical advice and support to other teams, ensuring that all technical aspects of the NGR program are effectively managed and delivered. Oversee the investigation and resolution of technical incidents and issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions are implemented. Supervise and mentor a team of four engineers and technicians, ensuring their professional development and performance alignment with project goals. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. Proven experience in a technical assurance or engineering management role within the rail industry, with a focus on rolling stock. Strong understanding of rail industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
