This is a great opportunity for an Associate Construction Disputes lawyer to join a global disputes platform in Sydney, working on some of the most significant energy and infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally. If you’re looking to step into career-defining disputes with real responsibility, this role offers that depth. The Sydney practice focuses on substantial construction and infrastructure conflicts arising out of major transport, energy and social infrastructure projects. The work spans Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, expert determinations, adjudications and ADR forums. The team’s matter list includes acting on multi-billion-dollar road and tunnel projects, metro rail developments, major desalination and energy infrastructure (conventional and renewable) projects. It also includes cladding and portfolio-wide defect issues across national asset bases, injunction proceedings tied to significant public assets, and advice supporting negotiations with government stakeholders following the cancellation or restructuring of major projects. These matters often require coordination across contractors, principals, insurers and technical experts, sometimes running in parallel across forums where needed. The Sydney construction disputes group sits within a broader global litigation practice and includes a Special Counsel and Senior Associates in a senior-led structure. The team is lean enough to ensure meaningful client contact and ownership of substantive issues. Clients include top-tier corporates, developers and government bodies delivering Australia’s largest infrastructure assets. Many matters have a cross-border dimension, drawing on an integrated international platform to manage multi-jurisdictional risk and parallel proceedings where required. This role will suit an Associate with strong construction or infrastructure disputes experience gained in a leading disputes team. Experience across PPPs, transport or energy projects will be highly regarded, along with confidence managing complex litigation or arbitration components and working directly with demanding commercial clients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
