About the Role Reporting to the Clinical Director, Forensic Intervention Services, the Principal, Clinical Governance and Practice is responsible for the provision of clinical leadership and expert forensic advice across the clinical workforce. This role exercises expert clinical acumen and strong leadership skills to promote quality and service improvements. A member of the Forensic Intervention Services' leadership group, the role is vital in maintaining best practice and integrity in clinical services through the provision of service‑wide quality assurance, clinical supervision and the development of clinical staff. What you’ll do Provide expert clinical leadership and advice on best practice forensic interventions. Supervise and develop clinical staff, including Principal Clinicians. Ensure service‑wide quality assurance and identify training and development needs. Support workforce capability, including recruitment, retention, and governance systems. Drive continuous improvement in clinical practice, program integrity, and professional development. Build stakeholder relationships and advise senior leadership on reducing re‑offending through effective clinical programs. About you Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, system design and delivery within complex service environments, ideally in corrections. Specialist knowledge in risk assessment and intervention delivery, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams. Strong leadership capability, promoting resilience, adaptability and a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture. Proven ability to drive strategic planning, innovation and continuous improvement across services. Advanced critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with strong awareness of political and organisational contexts. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive outcomes. Qualifications Full Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with extensive operational experience in forensic environments.
