The Opportunity You will partner with senior management and business units to provide strategic legal advice across general insurance and financial services operations. This is a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with ASIC obligations, maintaining governance standards and embedding a strong compliance culture across the organisation. Role Responsibilities Provide expert legal and regulatory advice on financial services, insurance, consumer and privacy law. Support AFSL obligations, product governance and disclosure requirements. Draft and review Product Disclosure Statements, Target Market Determinations, Financial Services Guides and marketing materials. Partner with senior management to uplift governance standards. Monitor regulatory developments, assess operational impacts and implement policy updates. Liaise with regulators on financial services compliance, governance and breach matters. Support breach management, remediation and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a proactive, values‑led compliance culture. Skills and Experience Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and current Australian legal practising certificate. Minimum 7+ years’ post‑admission experience in financial services or insurance law. Strong understanding of AFSL obligations, breach reporting and ASIC guidance. Demonstrated experience drafting disclosure and regulatory documentation. Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills at senior levels.
