Performance Marketing Specialist - Ad Operations Job Summary This role supports the Domain commercial sales team and other parts of the business in managing the setup, delivery, optimisation and reporting insights on key account campaigns across a range of digital properties, both wholly owned by Domain and in partnership with partner sites and affiliates. The aim is to drive better ROIs and to communicate results to all relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to optimise bookings against outlined performance goals. Explore new platforms and test new traffic sources to enhance Domain’s advertising reach. Identify and nurture key clients to increase their activity with Domain. Provide expert guidance on campaign management and recommend strategies to drive results and ROI for advertisers. Ensure campaigns are set up accurately and in a timely manner. Support high‑value accounts to achieve best delivery and performance optimisation. Act as liaison across consumer and commercial teams and lead Ad‑Ops projects. Manage Programmatic & Guaranteed Trading / Campaign Management to ensure successful delivery across appropriate platforms. Resolve creative issues, manage the creative trafficking process and timelines for go‑live assets. Provide a high level of service to internal and external clients, managing issues and enquiries quickly and satisfactorily. Handle margin management for assigned campaigns. Communicate unresolved issues promptly to the relevant Account Manager and/or management. Conduct new projects that support key strategic business decisions. Test effectiveness of various digital platforms, placements and formats. Key Stakeholders Maintain strong relationships with Key Account Partners and Account Coordinators. Collaborate with the Ad Tech team to drive and facilitate change. Support fellow Performance Specialists by covering workloads when needed. Serve as a point of contact for external parties such as marketing agencies and commercial clients. Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in Ad Operations or sales within the media industry. Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics and/or Facebook Blueprint is highly regarded. DFP / Google AdManager or DBM certification. Proficiency with publisher/agency ad‑serving systems (DFP, DBM, DCM, Google Ads, FB Ads Manager), third‑party ad‑serving tools (Sizmek, Facilitate), and CRM systems (Salesforce). Knowledge of tag‑management systems and creative troubleshooting experience. Proficiency with Google Apps suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets). Experience in programmatic trading, ad trafficking, data management, or analytics tools – highly regarded. Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, third‑party ad tags, and other digital ad code. Background in digital media trafficking, ecosystem, advertising platforms, and media buying. Previous experience handling advertising bookings and campaign delivery. Proven stakeholder‑management experience and ability to work autonomously. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with macros, pivot tables and extracting insights from data. Tertiary qualification, ideally in Digital Media, IT, data science or related.
