About the Opportunity This Chief of Staff role is a key strategic and operational position within DVPC, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive organisational priorities, coordinate key initiatives, and strengthen internal systems, communication, and decision-making. The role exists due to an internal promotion, reflecting the growth and development pathways within our organisation. You will act as a central connector across the organisation, helping to prioritise competing demands, streamline workflows, and ensure strategic intent is translated into coordinated action. You will play a pivotal role in enabling the CEO and Leadership Team to focus on high-impact decision‑making and external engagement. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in complexity, brings clarity to competing priorities, and enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership support. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Leadership Team to facilitate effective decision making and delivery of organisational priorities. Provide high-level coordination and oversight of CEO priorities, triaging incoming requests and recommending appropriate action or delegation. Support the execution of strategic initiatives through strong cross‑team collaboration and communication. Contribute to organisational planning, operational decision‑making, and continuous improvement. Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of critical information across the organisation ensuring the Leadership Team and all staff are well‑informed. Coordinate board‑related processes, including preparation and distribution of board papers, presentations, and supporting materials. Capture, document, and follow up on key meeting outcomes, actions, and decisions as required by the CEO. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including community and sector partners. Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in a senior operational, executive support, or business management role within the community or not‑for‑profit sector. A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Administration or related discipline. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management and operational leadership. Strong ability to manage competing priorities in complex and fast‑paced environments. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results. Proven capability in supporting executive leadership and translating strategy into operational delivery. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow‑through. A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with sound judgement and integrity.
