Position Summary Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, the Investment Analyst is responsible for building on Squadron Energy’s market intelligence, innovation and deal execution capability. The Investment Analyst is a hands‑on role that will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of corporate development activities including mergers and acquisitions, growth strategies and optimisation. Key Responsibilities Support the execution of various corporate development activities, including creating and refining valuation models for acquisitions, investments and new business initiatives. Assist in planning and execution of due diligence. Support negotiation of transaction and associated documentation. Assist in transaction project management and administration. Support the planning and execution of post‑merger integration. Prepare management and board materials spanning all areas of corporate development. Assist in the continual assessment of portfolio strategy and optimisation. Assess opportunities, including valuation and risk assessments, that align with Squadron Energy’s strategy and growth objectives. Undertake specific projects to support execution of Squadron Energy strategy. General Responsibilities Health, safety, and environment: Comply with all workplace health, safety and environmental obligations and report any incidents, hazards and accidents to the safety and environment team. Administration: Ensure all documentation is stored and recorded on the Squadron Energy document management system. Reporting: Ensure that issues and risks are escalated/reported to management in a timely manner. Financial: Adhere to Squadron Energy and project procedures for purchasing and expenditure in compliance with approved budgets. Stakeholders: Maintain a professional relationship with all project stakeholders. Company: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Squadron Energy's employee policies and standards. Skills and Experience 1–3 years’ experience in investment banking, in‑house corporate development, funds management, project finance, or similar. Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions or investments. Experience in negotiation and legal documentation. Demonstrated strategic and analytic thinking capability. Ability to engage stakeholders and work as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. Qualifications Undergraduate qualification in commerce, accounting, finance, economics or similar. Postgraduate qualifications including Master of Finance or MBA (desirable but not required).
