Job Description The role of the Senior Activation Executive is to deliver best-in-class campaign activation across all channels, delivering exceptional results against agreed parameters. This person should be well informed in the Australian media landscape and be able to reference this knowledge in client meetings and within their team. The Senior Activation Executive reports into the Activation Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day development of the Activation Executive and Coordinator, management of their workload, supervision of their output, regular feedback and support. Activating all campaigns using the Spark Activation Model & Philosophy: Work with the Activation Manager to drive negotiations for clients with media partners and secure additional incentives over and above entitlements. Keep pace with market knowledge that will aid negotiations with publishers and inform clients and the wider team. Negotiate campaign trading positions where there are no long term deals in place across all media, ensuring all benchmarks (client & internal), investment strategies & contractual agreements are met. Optimise and track all campaign variables to ensure all objectives are met, work with the Client Manager to ensure all planning ideas/strategies are delivered through the activation process. Understand the PMX product offering (inc Apex & Screens) to ensure clients are able to take advantage of appropriate solutions. Ensure appropriate PMX briefing and negotiation process followed to deliver best outcomes. KEY OUTPUTS Market Analysis Proactively completes regular and continuous analysis of market trends, economic issues and other factors effecting buys. SOURCES content and provide relevant insights for inclusion within market reviews and other adhoc client requests. Presents market updates, sponsorship/partnership opportunities, and other information of interest internally and to clients where appropriate. Campaign analysis and optimisation Monitor and optimise campaigns regularly. Identify and recommend optimisation opportunities and ensure those optimisations are actioned promptly. Tracking & Reporting Optimise campaigns and utilise the Tracking sheet to keep Activation Manager / Director up to date on progress of campaign. Produce or oversee the production of accurate post campaign reports that demonstrate delivered value and learning opportunities for all campaigns. Ensure learnings are implemented for future campaigns. Campaign Management & Finance processes Complete final buy documents and benchmark bought rates after every bought plan. Advise team of any savings that can be reinvested or returned. Reconcile campaign delivery and ensure the final delivered plan reflects billings and MBA. Maintain accurate budget and spend management of campaigns. Team Mentoring Develop, train and delegate effectively with clear instructions. Assist Activation Executives and Coordinators in developing detailed weekly (or agreed reporting schedule) and final post analysis. Sets a good example for the Activation Executive and Coordinators and ensures they have all the tools and information they need to perform their jobs to the highest level. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Expert understanding and working knowledge of Australian TV media landscape. Have a full understanding and experience using the following tools: eTAM, BMD, Roy Morgan, EMMA, eRAM, Nielsen Digital/ Answers, Sizmek and/or DCM, MOVE, AQX Fusion. Strong experience of TV buying across MTV, RTV and STV with a strong track record of delivering against goals. Experience of buying across all offline media, specifically TV, digital buying experience beneficial. Works well within a team environment, including being responsible for junior team members. Develops and maintains professional and friendly media and client relationships. Curious with a willingness for continuous learning and progression.
