Senior Project Manager - SASE / Cybersecurity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Cybersecurity / SASE) to lead the end-to-end delivery of a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) initiative within a leading education organisation. What’s on offer: $950.00 a day inclusive of super. Initial 6‑month engagement, with possibility of extension. Melbourne CBD. Hybrid working model, 2 days in office. Exposure to working alongside a well‑established Australian university. THE ROLE Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the SASE cybersecurity program. Develop and manage detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and budget. Coordinate cross‑functional teams across IT, security, business units, and vendors. Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with clear escalation pathways. Provide regular stakeholder updates via PPM reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations. Ensure delivery aligns to cybersecurity risk reduction objectives and uplifts NIST maturity. Support procurement, vendor evaluation, and contract management activities. Champion strong project governance, documentation, and quality assurance. Drive change management and user adoption to support successful implementation. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience delivering cybersecurity and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge related programs). Demonstrated ability to lead complex, enterprise‑scale security initiatives. Experience working within Australian tertiary education or similarly regulated environments. Strong change management and user adoption experience. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing vendors and negotiations. Ability to work independently and navigate complex organisational structures. Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, or Prosci highly regarded.
