Senior Full Stack Engineer - AWS Department: Consulting Employment Type: Full Time Location: Melbourne Description We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who likes getting close to real problems and building things that actually get used. You’ll be hands‑on across the stack — mostly TypeScript, React, AWS and CDK — and involved from early thinking through to delivery. You’ll help shape solutions, make technical calls, and work directly with clients. You don’t need everything perfectly defined up front. If you’re comfortable starting with ambiguity and working towards something solid, you’ll do well here. Responsibilities Building and shipping full stack features end‑to‑end Working in AWS, including infrastructure via CDK Making pragmatic technical decisions Mentoring and coaching junior engineers Collaborating directly with clients and internal teams Helping set a good standard for how we build and deliver software You’ll own delivery from end to end — not just the tech, but the outcomes. Lead projects from proposal all the way to production. Shape delivery with clients, keeping timelines, scope and expectations healthy. Spot risks early and remove roadblocks before they become headaches. Mentor others, lift capability, and help create a high‑trust engineering culture. Navigate technical and non‑technical conversations with clarity and empathy. Break down complex ideas into simple, actionable plans. Design architectures that balance security, scalability, identity, cost and operations. Engage in thoughtful, respectful debate that gets to the best solution. Build high‑quality software that makes a real difference. Qualifications Strong experience as a senior engineer (4+ years experience) Solid TypeScript / React experience Experience building and running systems on AWS Comfortable talking to non‑engineers and customers Someone who is passionate about evolving tech including AI and Data Sensible, outcome‑focused approach to engineering We’re more interested in your thinking, your energy, and your impact than a perfect list of tech buzzwords. Bring strong full‑stack engineering experience (TypeScript, React, Angular, .NET Core or similar) Are comfortable designing and building in AWS (CDK, Lambda, serverless patterns) Understand architecture fundamentals: security, scalability, operational needs. Communicate clearly, influence with confidence, and stay calm under pressure. Can translate business needs into technical solutions that make sense. Adapt quickly, stay curious, and genuinely enjoy solving customer problems.
