Senior Cyber Security Engineer role at Linde Material Handling Australia – based in Huntingwood, NSW. This is a hybrid role with in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work for the remainder of the week. Linde Material Handling is a major participant in the Material Handling industry in Australia since 1971 and is now part of the global KION Group. We are seeking a Technical Security Expert to join our global Cyber Defense Centre team, contributing to continuous improvement and long-term security for the KION Group globally. The role suits someone with experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment who is looking to make a global impact within a growing organization. Responsibilities Lead the incident response analysis (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis in a global environment. Deploy, configure, and leverage SIEM for security use cases. Manage cybersecurity incidents and conduct client triage/forensic analyses of cyber-attacks. Participate in the Cyber Security on-call schedule to ensure security worldwide for the KION Group. Program / script writing using Java, Python, etc. Use SOAR products to automate security incidents and develop case/playbooks for automated SOC operations. Apply Big Data analysis and machine learning to develop group-specific use cases at the current security level. Develop and integrate security detection methods for cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) to mitigate risks. Evaluate results of log correlations/aggregations and log analysis. Analyze and apply information security, risk management, and privacy practices. Liaise with internal departments on projects and tasks. Requirements for Success Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related IT field, preferably with a focus on cyber security. Demonstrated advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java. Experience with SOAR products is preferred. Experience with SIEM skills is essential. Solid knowledge in IT security (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, forensics, and threat hunting). Flexibility to participate in on-call and after-hours meetings regularly. Good understanding of modern IT infrastructure. Knowledge of security classification frameworks like MITRE or the cyber-attack kill chain. Demonstrated ability in decision making and workload management. Ability to work with a dynamic and international team with short decision paths.
