The Role Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate join our national NFPs, Human Rights and Social Impact team working alongside Sonya Parsons in Sydney. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, sensitive, and high-profile matters within a supportive and highly experienced practice. In this role, you will work across a range of matters including: Advising and representing defendants in historical institutional abuse claims; Advising and acting for non-government schools in respect of regulatory actions; and Dealing with internal disputes in NFPs. Who We Are Looking For You will thrive in this role if you: Have between 1-4 years’ experience in a similar practice, and with a genuine interest in the area Are drawn to work that requires care, patience, and emotional maturity Can maintain professional boundaries while dealing with distressing subject matters Can demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to display strong empathy and build rapport given the sensitivity Have a client-service approach Have at least a credit average academic history from a well-respected university What We Offer We take a collaborative approach to your learning & development, giving you the personal attention and unique opportunities required to help you realise your full potential.
