Role Overview: We are seeking a Canberra based, NV2 Cleared, Senior hands‑on engineering role on a small Palantir Foundry team. The senior engineer owns data products end‑to‑end across ingestion, transformation, ontology modelling, and downstream consumption in applications like Workshop and Quiver. They are also the technical reference point for the rest of the team: unblocking junior engineers, reviewing their code, and raising the bar on how the team models and ships data. No direct reports. Influence through code, review, and mentoring. Key Responsibilities: Design and ship Foundry pipelines from raw datasets through to Ontology-backed objects Model business domains as Ontology objects, links, and actions Review proposals from junior team members; coach Foundry idioms Field analytics and data-modelling questions from across the team; act as go‑to technical reference Partner with analysts and operations users to build Workshop and Quiver applications Define SLAs, monitoring, and incident response for critical pipelines Contribute to engineering standards, patterns, and internal documentation The successful candidate will have experience in the following technologies and skills: 2+ years building production pipelines Palantir Foundry (Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Workshop) Foundry Jupyter Notebooks for exploration and prototyping Git based workflow via Foundry global branching Foundry Health Checks and data quality monitors 5–7 years in analytics engineering or data engineering Dimensional modelling (Kimball) or Data Vault experience Fluent SQL across complex analytical workloads Demonstrated history mentoring or technically guiding less‑experienced engineers Operated critical pipelines: SLAs, alerting, incident response Ontology design at scale (50+ object types, complex link models) Streaming experience (Kafka, Foundry Streaming) Testing patterns analogous to dbt / great expectations (assertions, contracts, lineage tests) API integration API data stream onboarding experience Benefits and Perks of working for Informatech: Contract or Permanent Opportunity available Professional Development Support – formalised training and education budgets written into your contract + training leave accrued as a formal entitlement (for perm employees) No such thing as unpaid overtime.
