Overview Vacancy Number: Agency: Department of Health Number of Vacancies: 1 Work Unit: Royal Darwin, Palmerston Hospital Location: Darwin Primary Objective: The Medical Director, Hospital in the Home, provides strategic and clinical leadership to the Hospital in the Home service, ensuring the delivery of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and person centred care across home based, virtual and subacute environments. The role reports to the Director of Medical Services within the Division of Integrated Care and leads the implementation of clinical and organisational priorities, supporting medical, nursing, allied health and cultural workforce teams to deliver high quality, evidence based and culturally secure models of care that optimise patient flow, strengthen system integration, and advance NT Health’s Care Closer to Home strategy. Selection will be made at the P1 or P2 level depending on the experience of the successful applicant. Responsibilities Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the Hospital in the Home service to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and person-centred care across home-based, virtual and subacute environments.
