TATP Anaesthetic Registrar Recruitment Campaign 2027 (STATEWIDE) The Tasmanian Health Service invites applications for the Tasmanian Anaesthetic Training Program (TATP) Registrar vacancies for 2027. Positions are offered across the three Tasmanian Health Service hospitals – Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital and North West Regional Hospital. Award / Classification Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022, Medical Practitioner Level 5‑11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar). Employment type and Period of Employment Fixed‑term, full‑time, day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time), commencing 1 February 2027, ending 7 February 2028. Potential for extension to 2 years may be negotiated. Location Royal Hobart HospitalLaunceston General HospitalNorth West Regional Hospital Duties Manage private and public inpatients and outpatients within the hospital. Provide after‑hours emergency cover as determined by the Department of Anaesthesia. Hold general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Meet all ANZCA training and performance requirements. Maintain at least 24 months junior medical officer experience. Selection Process Curriculum Vitae (~30%) – scored on academic achievements, regional interest, and clinical experience. Selection Criteria (~30%) – scored over 7 de‑identified criteria. Interview (~30%) – evaluated by panel. General impression (~10%) – overall assessment. References – considered for evidence of suitability. Self‑reflection – non‑scored component providing additional insight. Eligibility Requirements Registered as a trainee with RACGP or ACRRM, or completed fellowship. Completed at least 2 years of primary fellowship if still training. Completed accredited ALS 2 course within 52 weeks prior to commencing RGA training (if applicable). Meets ANZCA guidelines and curriculum requirements for TATP Registrar positions.
