Overview We are seeking a legal professional to join Glencore's Sydney-based legal team to provide a wide range of legal services to Glencore’s Australian Coal operations. The role is a generalist in-house position within an agile legal team, partnering with site mining operations, project and management teams, and external legal and other advisors to address a broad range of legal matters relating to major mining assets across NSW and Queensland. Responsibilities Provide legal services to Glencore’s Australian Coal operations. Partner with site mining operations, project and management teams, and external legal advisors. Address a broad range of legal matters relating to major mining assets across NSW and Queensland. Negotiate, draft, review and manage a variety of commercial contracts. Provide high quality general corporate and commercial legal advice in the areas of environmental, health and safety, property and mining law. Qualifications Australian legal practising certificate. Approximately 2 to 4 years PQE experience in either a top-tier law firm or corporate environment. Proven technical and analytical skills. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Confidence to deal with senior management and prioritise competing demands. Initiative and the ability to work effectively and independently.
