In this role you will be responsible for building, managing, and maintaining a new, standalone public-facing website for the National Level Crossing Safety Strategy. Key Responsibilities GovCMS/Drupal Development: Build & Management: Design, build, and manage the complete website using the latest iteration of Drupal deployed on the GovCMS platform. Theming and Design: Possess the technical capabilities required for activating and developing the site using GovCMS themes, such as the Civic theme or similar government-approved frameworks. Web Standards & Compliance: Ensure the website meets all relevant Australian Government requirements and digital service standards. Develop the site and configure content to be aligned with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Queensland Government style guides. Content Management: Demonstrate competency in configuring and editing web content (primarily text-based) within the CMS environment, ensuring accessibility and adherence to style guides. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Web Developer, particularly with high-profile or government websites. High-level skills in developing and deploying sites on the Drupal CMS. Specific, demonstrable experience working within the GovCMS environment is highly desirable. Experience with and understanding of WCAG requirements for development and content editing.
