The Role Commencing immediately in a temporary capacity, there is scope for this role to be a permanent position. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is an integral part of Finance operations. As a Trust Accounts Officer, you will provide support to the finance team in managing trust accounts reconciliations, complete audits of trust accounts from external auditors and financial reporting of client trust information along with other ad hoc duties and tasks assigned by the CFO. Responsibilities Support preparation of all trust statements for all business entities. Preparation of reconciliations on a daily basis for all entities involving client Trusts. Preparation of daily trust disbursements with accurate and complete remittance information. Stakeholder Engagement with field agents and contingent collection team members and managers. Maintaining client account information in our management systems, and reconciling client accounts. Assist in new process implementation as reasonably required. End of Day, Week and Monthly reconciliation of trust accounts. Successful participation and completion of regular quarterly audits of our trust accounts from our external auditors. Reporting of client trust information for invoicing purposes. Ongoing reconciliation of unclaimed monies while designing procedures to keep this to a minimum, and to alleviate the incidence of incomplete information. Contribution to other finance team member projects from time to time. The Successful Candidate In order to be considered for the role, you will have full work rights and will be able to commence immediately. Skills & Qualifications Good knowledge of accounting concepts and principles. Previous experience with trust accounts. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills – Excel essential. Strong commitment to ethical business practices and good corporate governance. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills – both written and verbal. Financial analytical capabilities. Proficient data entry skills gained in busy work environment with a high level of accuracy. Ability to adhere to strict timelines and adapt in an agile environment.
