About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Construction to lead delivery of a large-scale, multi-gigawatt renewable energy generation and storage project in regional New South Wales. This landmark project will play a critical role in delivering reliable, dispatchable clean energy into a major Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), supporting Australia’s transition to a low-carbon future. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing the project lifecycle from early works through construction, commissioning, and operational handover. The Role You will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of a complex renewable energy project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and within budget . You will lead a multidisciplinary delivery team and coordinate multiple workstreams across wind, solar, and battery storage components. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners including contractors, regulators, and community representatives. Key Responsibilities Lead project delivery from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover Manage relationships with contractors, government authorities, and community stakeholders Establish strong governance frameworks and reporting processes Drive a culture of safety, quality, and performance Lead and develop a high-performing project team Planning & Execution Oversee detailed planning including scope, resourcing, and sequencing Develop and manage integrated project schedules aligned with key milestones Coordinate delivery across multiple generation and storage technologies Ensure effective mobilisation and execution of EPC and contractor scopes Contract & Commercial Management Manage key construction and supplier contracts Monitor contractor performance across cost, schedule, and quality metrics Support commercial management of variations, claims, and compliance Cost & Schedule Control Track budgets, forecasts, and progress against baseline Identify and mitigate cost and schedule risksReport on project performance and delivery metrics Risk, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements Identify and manage project risks across all phases Promote industry-best safety and environmental practices Stakeholder & Interface Management Act as central coordination point across internal and external stakeholders Manage interfaces across engineering, procurement, delivery, and operations Maintain relationships with regulators, landowners, and local communities Oversee testing, commissioning, and energisation Ensure seamless transition to operations Deliver complete and accurate project documentation Capture lessons learned and improve delivery frameworks and processes Contribute to organisational capability uplift in project delivery About You Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred) Experience 10+ years delivering large-scale infrastructure or energy projects Proven track record managing complex construction projects Experience in renewable energy (wind, solar, battery storage) highly desirable Strong background working with EPC, BoP, or major contractors Skills & Capabilities Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational ability Commercial acumen and contract management expertise Ability to manage complexity in fast-paced environments Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
