Legal Counsel – Construction/Major Projects Hybrid Working • Sydney – Competitive Salary About the Role We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a major organisation operating in the energy transition sector. This legal role assists with all legal aspects of a specialist infrastructure business, with a strong focus on large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects. The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid working arrangement and reports to the organisation’s General Counsel. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the negotiation, drafting, and execution of connection agreements and related contracts supporting the energy transition Providing strategic legal advice on contract structuring and risk management for complex infrastructure and renewable energy projects Advising on contract administration throughout project delivery, including variations, disputes, and potential litigation Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks Delivering commercial legal advice across energy law, competition law, planning and environmental law, and employment law Key Requirements Ideally 6+ years PQE gained In-House or from a leading private practice firm Previous experience in major projects, construction law, and the energy sector Demonstrated expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects Strong commercial drafting, review, and negotiation skills Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skillsAbility to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment What’s on Offer Competitive senior remuneration package aligned to experience Opportunity to play a key role in nationally significant energy transition projects Strong focus on professional development and career progression Supportive and collaborative team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
