We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Demand Planner to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, you will support the demand planning function by analyzing market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to accurate demand forecasts. Analyze historical sales data and market trends to support demand forecasting and planning activities Collect, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness Assist in developing and updating demand forecasts using established methodologies and tools Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize stock positioning Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align demand plans with business objectives Generate regular reports and dashboards to track demand planning metrics and performance indicators Support the identification and implementation of process improvements within the demand planning function Maintain and update demand planning systems and databases with current information Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews to present findings and recommendations Respond to ad-hoc requests for data analysis and reporting from stakeholders Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets Solid understanding of demand planning principles, forecasting methods, and inventory management concepts Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams Effective time management and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, operations, planning, or related business functions (or equivalent) Experience with demand forecasting, inventory planning, or sales operations is preferred Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) is a plus Knowledge of statistical analysis or forecasting software is desirable Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and tools quickly #J-18808-Ljbffr
