Occupation: Occupational health and safety Reference: AV/ We are seeking a Lead Safety Advice & Support to provide clear safety guidance, practical support, and expert advice across the organisation. This role works closely with managers and key stakeholders to help ensure health and safety policies and procedures are understood, followed, and applied consistently. The Lead Safety Advice & Support also leads and supports a team of Safety Advisors. This is a full‑time, permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster Headquarters in line with our hybrid working model. Key Responsibilities Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Health & Safety Advisors to deliver consistent, high‑quality advice and services across Victoria Building strong, collaborative relationships with operational leaders, stakeholders, and unions to support effective consultation, engagement, and risk management outcomes Leading the organisation's preparation for ISO 45001 surveillance and recertification audits, including coordinating activities, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring audit readiness and successful outcomes Contributing to and driving continuous improvement of the OHS Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 standards and organisational requirements Managing and supporting the resolution of complex and sensitive health and safety issues, working with stakeholders to achieve practical and sustainable outcomes Providing expert advice on incident investigations, and leading serious or high‑risk investigations where required Monitoring, reviewing, and analysing risk, hazard, incident, and injury data to identify trends, set priorities, and recommend targeted improvements Qualifications A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (Desirable) Demonstrated experience, ability and skills to manage OHS risks in a complex and highly regulated organisation Extensive knowledge and understanding of OHS legislation and experience in its practical application Proven track record in developing and implementing OHS management systems (e.g. ISO45001) Benefits As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
