SAGICOR LIFE (EASTERN CARIBBEAN) INC Position Description & Specification POSITION TITLE: Sales Advisor DEPARTMENT: Sales REPORTS TO: Agency/Unit Manager NO. OF REPORTING POSITIONS: None GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Saint Lucia POSITION SUMMARY: Sales Advisors are licensed representatives of Sagicor who engage with potential and existing clients to assess their financial needs with the view to provide appropriate relevant solutions. Key Duties And Responsibilities Achieves assigned productivity targets for the in-force individual life policy count. Sources new clients and develops personal portfolio by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. Interviews prospective clients to assess insurance needs and to sell products and/or services. Explains features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans. Contacts clients to deliver policy documents as well as explain policies and to suggest coverage amendments. Collects and remits first premiums on policies sold, consistent with Sagicor’s Cash Receipting Policy. Ensures that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms. Conducts field activities as required to meet operational demands. Implements strategies to sell products or services. Builds and retains the portfolio to maximize sales. Attracts and retains customers by providing customer care consistent with the established company procedures, Prepares and maintains sales and activity records and/or reports. Adheres to the company’s compliance programme consistent with corporate timelines. Attends meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services and learn new skills. Performs any other related duties and handles special projects as may be requested by management. Education / Experience Knowledge & Skills Required An Associate Degree in Business Studies or a related discipline At least two (2) years’ experience in a sales environment Strong time management and organizational skills The ability to quickly recover from and manage rejection in the sales process. Excellent oral and written communication skills The ability to build relationships to positively impact the sales process. An appreciation for the perspective of the customer Excellent interpersonal skills Have a valid Driver’s License and own a reliable motor vehicle. #J-18808-Ljbffr
