This role will be based in Melbourne, VIC. Job Description We're looking for a commercially sharp and well-connected Group Business Director to lead Veridooh's growth across the VIC, SA, and WA markets. This is a senior, player-coach role — you'll be equally at home opening doors with new clients as you are deepening relationships with the agency groups and independents you've built trust with over your career. Reporting to our Head of Sales AU, you'll work closely with the AD and AM team in your markets as well as Company Leadership team, providing strategic direction and owning local market revenue performance. You'll be the most senior commercial voice in the room for your region, and the benchmark for how we show up to market. The ideal candidate is a seasoned media sales professional who knows the agency landscape inside out. You lead with insight, you close with confidence, and you understand that in a category like OOH, the best salespeople are also educators — helping clients and agencies understand what great measurement and verification can do for their investment. What you'll do Your day-to-day will involve: New Business Development: Drive new logo acquisition across VIC, SA, and WA — identifying, targeting, and converting prospects across media agencies, buying groups, and direct/independent clients. Senior Agency Relationship Management: Own and grow Veridooh's relationships with senior stakeholders at key agency groups in your markets. Be their go-to for OOH verification and measurement conversations. Player-Coach Leadership: Work in close collaboration with team in your market — setting the commercial tone, supporting key pitches, and elevating how the team shows up with clients. Market Strategy: Partner with Head of Sales and the broader leadership team to shape go-to-market strategy for your region, feeding in competitive intelligence, client feedback, and pipeline insights. Revenue Ownership: Take accountability for your regional revenue target — managing a healthy pipeline, forecasting accurately, and consistently delivering against commitments. Product Evangelism: Deeply understand the Veridooh platform and use that knowledge to educate the market, build credibility, and position our solutions against client and agency challenges. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside our AM and Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery for new clients you bring on, setting the right expectations and maintaining relationships post-sale. What you'll bring Proven Sales Track Record: 7–10+ years in media sales, with a demonstrable record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets in a senior individual contributor or player‑coach capacity. Deep Agency Relationships: Strong, established relationships across media agencies and buying groups in the Melbourne market. You know the key decision-makers and they know you. New Business Hunger: You're not just a relationship manager — you actively enjoy the chase. Finding new opportunities and bringing in new logos energises you. Independent & Direct Client Experience: Relationships beyond the holding groups — with independent agencies or direct advertisers — is a strong advantage. Media Industry Expertise: A strong understanding of the Australian media landscape, with OOH, audio, or adtech experience highly regarded. Commercial Acumen: Comfortable building business cases, and navigating complex commercial conversations with senior stakeholders. Leadership Presence: You can influence and inspire without formal authority — experienced at elevating those around you and setting a high commercial standard. Adaptability: At ease operating in a fast-moving, scale‑up environment where things evolve quickly and initiative is valued over process.
