DiT Recruitment Campaign 2027 - Registrar - Geriatric Medicine | Royal Hobart Hospital Location Royal Hobart Hospital Description The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of private & public inpatients/outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital. This position is suitable for Basic Physician trainees, GP Registrars and as a non-core term for Advanced Trainees in Rehabilitation or Emergency Medicine and is distinct from the Advanced Trainee in Geriatric Medicine position. The aged care department has an establishment of 9 FTE registrar positions which includes up to 4 advanced trainees in geriatrics, with the remainder being registrars in Geriatric Medicine. $138,978 - $194,675 per annum Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025 Period of Employment: Fixed term, full time day work, working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata), starting from 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028. (Part time hours may be considered). Apply General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
