Responsibilities Work as one of three engineers in a high‑trust, self‑managing squad. Design, build, operate scalable, secure, maintainable solutions aligned with agreed architecture. Contribute to planning, estimation and delivery with shared accountability. Take operational and product responsibility for your work – monitoring, support, observability, stakeholder engagement and confident demo of outcomes. Use AI coding assistants daily to accelerate design, implementation, testing and refactoring. Design small agentic workflows to automate repetitive tasks such as test generation, migration scripts, documentation and validation. Contribute wherever the team needs you – infrastructure (AWS), backend (Spring Boot, Java21), data (AWS Glue, DBT, Postgres, SQL, Python), AI (AWS Bedrock) or frontend (TypeScript). Apply strong software engineering fundamentals and maintain strong engineering judgement. Embed DevSecOps practices into everyday engineering – design with security, privacy and compliance in mind, use CI/CD, automation and infrastructure‑as‑code, balance speed with safety in a regulated financial services context. What you’ll bring Strong grounding in software engineering fundamentals. Experience with AWS (certification highly advantageous). Exposure to infrastructure‑as‑code, ideally AWSCDK. Backend development and frontend technologies (Java21, Spring Boot, TypeScript). Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD and observability. Appreciation for security, resilience and compliance in regulated environments. Excellent communication, proactive collaboration and constructive feedback. Excitement about becoming an AI‑native engineer blending deep foundations with modern tooling.
