Senior Psychologist / Senior Specialist Psychologist Mannus Correctional Centre – Part‑time Opportunity – Ongoing Salary: Senior Psychologist: $124,771 – $135,527 per annum Senior Specialist Psychologist: $114,106 – $139,824 per annum Plus superannuation and annual leave loading. Salary paid pro rata for part‑time. Location Mannus Correctional Centre, located in the serene south‑east Riverina, 9 km from Tumbarumba and 100 km from Wagga Wagga. The setting offers a peaceful rural environment with access to essential amenities. What You’ll Do Provide assessment, case formulation, and individual intervention services to offenders and deliver group interventions as required. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including detailed progress notes and entries in the Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS). Coordinate and negotiate psychological service delivery with stakeholders, while upholding clear professional and role boundaries. Work together with other service integration staff in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Provide supervision to psychologists, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice and supporting their professional development. Contribute to training and professional development initiatives for Psychologists. Additional Responsibilities for Senior Specialist Psychologist Manage more difficult or unusual cases with high clinical expertise. Resolve complex clinical problems likely to have a wide impact on the organisation. Provide major contributions to the quality management and evaluation of psychological services. Participate in higher level consultancy within CSNSW and with external agencies. What We’re Looking For Proven expertise in correctional psychology, including mental health assessment, behaviour management, and working with individuals with complex needs, using a rehabilitation‑focused approach. Criminogenic risk assessment capability with an understanding of contemporary correctional principles. Demonstrated ability in providing clinical leadership, including supervising and mentoring Psychologists and offering consultation on risk, case management, and rehabilitation strategies. High‑quality verbal and written communication skills with a thorough knowledge of psychologist’s ethical and legal obligations. Strong teamwork and independence, working effectively within multidisciplinary environments while managing clinical responsibilities autonomously. Essential Requirements Minimum four‑year accredited qualification in psychology with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Eligible to be a Board Approved Supervisor (BAS) with the Psychology Board of Australia and willingness to supervise provisional psychologists and students.
