This role is for a Mechanical Engineer with strong previous municipal wastewater and/or water treatment experience to contribute to major water and wastewater programs in Southeast Queensland and across ANZ, from early feasibility through to detailed design and delivery. Responsibilities Deliver mechanical design on complex water and wastewater treatment projects. Develop concept and detailed designs for treatment plants and associated infrastructure. Contribute to feasibility studies, business cases and reference designs. Work closely with clients to deliver practical, high‑value outcomes. Collaborate with civil, process, electrical and digital teams to create integrated, constructible designs. Support bids, planning and project delivery activities. Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to developing engineers. Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree. 4–10 years’ experience in water and/or wastewater treatment. Strong mechanical design capability across treatment plants and related infrastructure. Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, fluid hydraulics, pipework and mechanical systems. RPEQ certification or actively working toward registration. Clear communication skills and confidence working in multidisciplinary teams.
