Overview Our Western Port Manufacturing facility in Hastings, VIC is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner. The role will partner with leaders across manufacturing operations, delivering impactful workforce performance, capability and engagement. The organization includes four major manufacturing sites operating 24/7 and offers a range of products and services to domestic and export customers. Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnering: turn enterprise‑level people priorities into clear actions, provide commercially grounded advice across performance, capability, culture and risk, and ensure decisions align to strategy. Workforce Strategy & Change: lead workforce planning and organisational design, partner with leaders from business case development through to change program delivery aligned to enterprise frameworks. Employee & Industrial Relations: manage ER/IR matters including disputes, conduct issues, investigations, union engagement and support EA negotiations; build leader capability to manage performance and conduct. Leadership & Culture: coach and support leaders to uplift people leadership capability and sustain an inclusive, safe, engaging workplace that supports retention and performance. Governance & Risk: ensure consistent application of employment legislation and policies, oversee people decisions and uplift leader capability in people risk and compliance. People Insights: own and interpret people metrics into actionable insights for the portfolio. Qualifications Degree qualification in HR, Business, Industrial Relations or related discipline. Significant experience in HR Business Partnering within a complex operational environment. Strong knowledge and application of employment legislation and industrial relations practices, including EA negotiations. Exposure to workforce planning, change, and organisational development.
